Video Architects was founded in 2014 by Sean Crossland, whose appreciation for the built environment began at a young age after being inspired by his uncle’s architectural renderings and blueprints. What started as a fascination with how spaces are designed, eventually merged with a passion for video production, and sparked a vision for how those spaces could be captured through video.
Over the past decade, Video Architects has earned national recognition as one of the Top 30 video production companies in the United States. Our vision is that architecture and construction projects deserve a specialized approach to video storytelling. Longwood Gardens Reimagined
Photo and Video Project
This year, Longwood Gardens has been crowned the 'Best Botanical Garden in the Country’ and made Time's list of the World's Greatest Places. These awards come right after the recent expansion of its grounds. While in construction, our team at Video Architects were tasked to capture the expansion of the hardscaping by The Edgewood Company. This hardscaping stretched over a 32,000-sq.-ft. glasshouse, a 12,500-sq.-ft. outdoor Bonsai Courtyard, and a Cascade Garden greenhouse inspired by Brazilian landscape designer Roberto Burle Marx.
We produced multiple videos and photos to highlight Edgewood's hardscaping of these spaces. Their work lives up to this world-class quality and has added to the fabric of Longwood. From our interviews in the West Conservatory and b-roll around the grounds, this project felt special and was an honor to work on.
